When I signed on to produce Jabberjaw, I didn't expect to also become a cinematographer, but that's the beauty (and chaos) of indie filmmaking! The film, written and directed by Luke Genton (Chateau, Sorry Charlie), is a found footage horror starring Alexis Ingram, set deep in the woods of California. Found footage is it's own wild beast - part improv, part logistics. It pushed me to think like a filmmaker in new ways.
Synopsis: When a battered woman goes camping with a friend, a mysterious stalker in the
woods makes her question if it's her abuser...or something more sinister.

Horror & Female Focused Work
I'll be real, horror isn't usually my genre (I was scared during the whole shoot). But what drew me in, and what made this project feel close to my own work, was the story at it's core. Jabberjaw centers on two women: one reeling from an abusive relationship, the other trying to help her heal. It's about female friendship, resilience, and the complicated ways women protect each other when the world doesn't. That's always been the heart of what I love to make: stories about women finding their voice, standing up for themselves, and sometimes getting it wrong along the way.
Why It Matters:
These stories matter because they remind us that strength isn't always loud or clean. It can look like fear, confusion, or taking one shaky step forward. Jabberjaw showed me that you can find strength even in the scariest moments.
Exciting news!
Jabberjaw will be released by Terror Films (Apple TV, Tubi, Prime Video)
